Columbine is a spring wildflower with unique bell-shaped dangling flowers. The foliage is attractive with round lobed leaflets divided into 3s. The flower spurs contain nectar, which is an important early season food sources for bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. It is a great plant for home landscaping. Columbine can tolerate some sun but prefers shade.
