Culvers Root

Veronicastrum virginicum

Culvers root is an elegant and stately perennial with spikes of densely packed white flowers. The small tubular flowers are arranged along terminal flower spikes. The flower spikes branch out, resembling candelabras. Flowers bloom for over a month, attracting a variety of bees, flies, and butterflies. The leaves are whorled around the stem. Culvers root is a great plant for adding a tall, vertical element to gardens.
