Using ecology to restore land and water
Lance-leaved tickseed, also known as sand coreopsis, is a perennial with bright, sunny yellow flowers. The flowers are visited by a variety of pollinators for pollen and nectar. The leaves are lance-shaped, and the dark seeds resemble ticks, hence the common name. Lance-leaved tickseed grows best in sunny, dry conditions with good soil drainage.
