Using ecology to restore land and water
Prairie dropseed is a highly valued landscaping grass because of its graceful, clumping form and golden color in the fall. It is long-lived and well behaved. The flowers form in late summer in loose, airy spikes above the foliage. Prairie dropseed is primarily found in high quality natural areas and habitats such as prairies, savannas, and grassy fens.
