Using ecology to restore land and water
Prairie onion is a perennial wildflower that grows from a bulb. All parts of the plant emit a strong onion scent. Its showy clusters of pink star-like flowers are attractive to small bees, flower flies, and butterflies. It grows naturally in prairies and prefers dry, sandy or gravelly soil.
