Using ecology to restore land and water
Prairie tickseed, also known as prairie coreopsis, is a short, stiff-stemmed perennial with bright yellow flowers. It grows well in sunny areas in poor soil that is well drained. It usually forms small colonies or loose clusters. The flowers attract a variety of pollinators and beneficial insects. Prairie tickseed is found in prairies, savannas, and abandoned fields.
