Using ecology to restore land and water
Thimbleweed is a woodland perennial with white flowers and cylindrical seed heads that resemble a thimble. The seed heads ripen into a soft, fluffy mass. The flowers are visited by small bees and flies for pollen. The plant is clump forming and short in stature, making it a good plant for shady gardens. Thimbleweed is found in open woods and clearings.
