Using ecology to restore land and water
Zig zag goldenrod is a woodland perennial that provides fall color. Clusters of small yellow flowers are produced along flower stalks. The stem often “zig zags” between leaves. The rhizomes tend to spread, producing colonies. Unlike most goldenrods, this species prefers shade. Zig zag goldenrod is found in woods, clearings, and edges of woods.
