2007 | GRAYS BAY BOAT LANDING

Grays Bay Boat Landing is one of the busiest landings in Minnesota. The landing was upgraded in 2005, improving the flow of traffic, adding more boat launching capacity and increasing parking with a newly designed parking lot. The upgraded lot and landing included native plant rain garden installations and prairie vegetated medians throughout the parking lot. We worked with the City to repair shore segments using bio-engineering techniques and introduce plant species that are excellent for shore stabilization. It’s now common to see many varieties of song birds, monarchs and other butterflies, and many species of bees other pollinators. This is really a win-win for the city, boating enthusiasts, and the environment.
